Vadim Damier is a contemporary Russian historian and anarchist activist. In his book Stalʹnoj vek: Socialʹnaâ istoriâ sovetskogo obŝestva (Age of steel: A social history of Soviet society), he lays out his interpretation of the Russian Revolution, which is also the central subject of this interview conducted and translated from Russian by Tereza Reichelová. The interview was conducted in Damier's Moscow apartment on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the October Revolution, in early November 2017.
